Strategic hires lead marketing, sales and business development worldwide

On the heels of its Series A funding, CHASM, a leader in next generation advanced materials, announced today that it has made several new hires across its Sales and Marketing functions. These roles will further accelerate CHASM’s growth and elevate the visibility of its carbon nanotube (CNT) hybrid transparent conductive films (TCF) used for the design and fabrication of printed electronics and energy storage devices.

Ken Klapproth, based out of the company’s Canton headquarters, has been named Vice President of Marketing and is responsible for expanding the company’s market presence for its printed hybrid transparent conductive films (TCFs) and battery materials across industry sectors.

With more than 20 years of success matching technically advanced products to market demand, Ken has helped companies small and large achieve double-digit growth. Most recently with Desalitech, as well as global expertise from leading marketing organizations at companies including Elsevier, IHS, Entuity, Proficiency and Siemens, Ken is fanatical about cutting-edge demand generation, is the holder of two U.S. patents and believes advanced materials will finally obsolete electronic interfaces making them invisible and integral to the recipient devices. Ken holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut and began his professional career at Pratt & Whitney designing jet engines found under the wing on many of today’s modern aircraft including the Boeing 777 and Airbus A380.

Al Tassone has been named Director of Business Development for North America. Also based out of Canton, Al has more than 15 years in sales and business development roles. Al joins CHASM from E Ink, where he helped propel the ePaper technology into the design and architecture space. Al is responsible for introducing CHASM’s printed hybrid TCF’s to the company’s target markets across North America.

Kevin Han is now Director of Business Development for CHASM across APAC. Kevin is an accomplished and effective senior sales and marketing executive who is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese. He has more than 20 years working for U.S. and European companies focused on the APAC-region. Kevin was most recently with Blue Water Growth LLC, where he was responsible for driving projects of product distribution and market entry strategy and execution for U.S. companies entering APAC markets.

Tom Eldridge is acting as CHASM’s Business Development Director, EMEA. He is Co-founder / Director at Fullerex, a leading independent broker of nanomaterials and nano-intermediates, headquartered in Surrey, England.

"This is an exciting time in CHASM’s history,” said David Arthur, CHASM CEO and Co-Founder. “We’re bringing in top talent to enable us to reach new markets and continue our growth trajectory. Our carbon nanotube hybrid materials will transform the next generation of mobile devices, vehicles, appliances, displays, and machines of all kinds that require materials that are more transparent, flexible, lightweight, and more versatile than any previous solution.”
